Life Magnifico
So, in a few months I’m heading into the studio to lay down the arrangements for my album. So that means its drum time! I already have most of my guide tracks so I am spending the next month or so writing beats and fills.
The album is going to contain a mix of live acoustic drums and electronic beats/percussion. So I’m finding myself having to keeping my patterns really simple so I don’t over populate the tracks. Once the drums are down and I bring the mixes home there is little I can do to make space for new Ideas.
This is very different to most projects I’ve worked on before, in past I’ve left a lot to chance. The nature of this project means I need to be more or less finished by the time I go into the studio. As strange as that sounds, the music makers will know exactly what I mean.

First Impressions
My name is Jonny. I reside in the beaten heart of the English countryside. For years I have been working on a project, I’m going to refer to as Superfly Idiot Guy. This is going to be an outlet mainly for music, but for anything I create.
The name Superfly Idiot Guy, was originally the tittle of an unreleased acoustic album I made around four or five years ago.
